I suppose I’m going to have introduced myself in this post. I suppose I’m going to have to explain myself and talk about my life and who I am and all that. I don’t enjoy posting bios, I’m always worried I’ll get something wrong or say something narcissistic or something. So here goes nothing

I am a teenage girl who is a bit frustrated with the state of the world. As a member of so many minorities(I am Jewish, bisexual, young, and female), I live in fear of persecution everyday. Yes, even here in my middle-class neighborhood in the good old US of A. No matter where I go(unless I want to live as a hermit) I will experience some form of bigotry at least every week.

And I firmly believe that this shouldn’t happen. No one should have this happen to them. Regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, looks, weight, ANYTHING. Intolerance is disgusting. It’s worse than any “perversion” between two consenting adults you can think of.

That’s reason one I created this blog. It’s going to my form of media watch. My way to get my thoughts and the facts out there. Hopefully it will make people think.

I suppose you want to know a little more about me, the person who is writing this little thing. My name is Alex. I’ve been an internet addict since I was ten. I’ve gone by various names, most notably Lesbajew, Zeleelee, and Alisquid. I am sixteen years old and attend high school in a city that is centered around a national lab. I also happen to live here. I consider myself a feminist, a liberal, a democratic-socialist, and a reformer and progressive. Despite all the anger I show on the web,I’m surprisingly calm. I am a huge nerd, and yes I do read comics and fantasy novels and the like. They have a lot of sexism but a lot of potential. My favorite authors are George RR Martin and Margaret Atwood. I like girls and boys, I’ve had both and enjoyed myself thoroughly. I’m perfectly open about that and if you don’t like that, than don’t read this. I love music. My favorite bands include The Dresden Dolls Bratmobile, and Peaches. I do what I want. That’s really about it. Have fun everyone!

Because it’s indecent to feed this fire any longer. You can still look at it on facebook. That has the advantage that the average person can see the video but is not comment-enabled.

I’ll probably post some sort of official thing later. I’m feeling a bit worn out right now. Not because of the trolls, but because I have a life outside of the internet that involves things such as homework and sleep and friends.

Part one of my little vlog on feminism

And I got my first dirogitory comment! I’m actually proud, because they are walking right into a wall. It was about my mental health. Harharhar, very clever . It simply said:

“Does feminism make women neurotic, or do neurotic women gravitate towards feminism?”

I’m thinking of this for a reply:

Neither. I’m neurotic because I was born neurotic. I’m neurotic because I got the short end of the stick when it comes to mental health. And being neurotic doesn’t really effect my intelligence. So unless you have a point you wish to make that isn’t just an pathetic attempt to silence me, you’re wasting your time. I’d like to hear why you think my crazy matters.
